Geographical Characteristics
The Municipality of Dauis is found in the southwestern part of the Province of Bohol. In particular, it is located on the eastern part of Panglao Island and is bounded by Bohol Strait on the north; south by the Municipality of Panglao and east by Tagbilaran City.

The Municipality of Dauis has a total land area of 4,457.5176 hectares, which comprises ten (10) coastal barangays and two (2) inland barangays.

The approximate distance of municipal center to Tagbilaran City is 7.4 kilometers or a travel of about 10 minutes.

The town's main roads are near to the urban road network of Tagbilaran City. The town of Dauis is traversed by the national, provincial, municipal and barangay road network.

Physical Characteristics
The town’s land characteristic is rocky but generally flat with mountain ranges located in the southeastern part.

There are 2 existing bridges in Dauis. Primary modes of transportation are buses and tricycles. There is no wharf. Island population is too dependent on Tagbilaran City port facilities.
